Celebrating the 80th Anniversary of VE Day in East Grinstead

East Grinstead Town Council warmly invites the community to join them in marking a significant milestone in history—the 80th anniversary of VE Day. This commemorative event will take place on Thursday, 8th May 2025. The day will start with a proclamation at the war memorial on the High Street at 9am.

Starting at 6pm at King George’s Field, Moat Road, East Grinstead RH19 3LH, the evening promises to be a joyful celebration, featuring a variety of activities that embrace the spirit of VE Day and its historical importance.

Live performances will set the tone, with music from Choir & Ko, The Conchord Big Band and Stephanie Belle, providing a nostalgic soundtrack to the evening. Attendees are encouraged to bring their own picnic or purchase food on-site as they enjoy the festivities.
